When Teddy Stratford founder Brian Davis was pulled up to speed in Bangkok, he noticed that the down jacket on a police button was a good fit for him. Davis praised the officer on his shirt, and the police officer gave him the location of a Thai royal police tailor. At the tailor he revealed the secret of the fit of the shirt: it zipper fastens, but does not fasten, creating a shirt closer to the fitting shape, without stretching around the buttons. It turns out that police shirts around the world have been manufactured this way for decades. Brian returned the shirt to New York, Teddy Stratford is based on CEGO Custom Shirts, and worked with his team to develop a Zip Fit ™ shirt, refining what he initially found on the back of a police officer .
